I guess you also know then that on hot days we had to limit the power through the connector transmission lines to Vic because they would stretch and hang too low across the valleys.
Some of those spans are incredibly long. I can't imagine the stresses on those towers.

The people who built the Snowy were amazing and I was lucky to work with some of them.
Oh and those Power lines, was it Ascom the company? Italian were they.
