    @Stumpedup, I re-read your post… HM1. Hearts and Minds… of course !
    I also hold SEC which I have done reasonable well out of. Unfortunately I sold some the other day at $2.25 (just a few). Not long after I saw them trading at about $2.09 and gave myself a Pat on the back for being so smart ! That would have been a good top up opportunity because they are now $2.30.
    They are not a bad LIC to keep note of their monthly reports and holdings. .Fund Managers have significant skin I. The game. Not long ago on a SEC video of results, Matt Brooker basically said buy SNL with your ears pinned pack and cited the reasons. It’s a holding in SEC. I checked it out and it met my criteria and bought 500 @ $19.04. I think they are now a few months later approx $29 ex dividend. But there is a twist. Even though the shares were approx $29 when the divvy went “ex” the SP did not move at all and this is poss the reason. If you subscribed to the dividend reinvestment plan (and I seldom if ever, do) you pick up the shares in lieu at a max price of $20.00 ! It’s capped ! SEC has also warned that if the SP is trading at a certain discount by near years end, they will amalgamate SEC into an unlisted fund at NTA. Just another LIC to keep an eye on. After your reply, I DID have more LICs than I thought !
    Always appreciate your posts and responses !
