eligibility to vote - allow time to transfer

From the scheme booklet:
"All shareholders who are registered as shareholders at 7.00pm (AEST) on Tuesday 10th June 2014 will be entitled to vote at the Scheme Meeting"
Could someone tell me how long the ASX takes to register a buy in the new holders name?
& hence indicate the last buying day to be eligible to vote this low ball offer down.
If so many holders have a paltry $ value holding at 2cps then it would seem that the best thing they could do to defeat this raid would be to double their holding at 2cps.....and vote NO.
