It's important to remember that, unlike any other energy commodity, the price of uranium does not affect the marginal cost of nuclear energy production much. From memory it was something like if the price of uranium doubles then utilities would have to increase their electricity charges by 1% to recover the production cost increase (because one table spoon of uranium can power a city for an entire day).
