Boeing went from a company based on engineering excellence - a culture from top to bottom -

to a company that changed it's focus from engineering excellence to profitability and share price performance ---------

that decision changed the company from success to failure and killed a lot of people along the way

may I suggest that people watch the movie 'Downfall: The Case Against Boeing '
