Ahhhhk room and pillar.
I can't say I've looked at their deposits layout at all (depth, seam thickness etc).
They could recover more, if they extract pillars etc, but then you need to "bund" something in their place to bear the load, this can start to become a false economy.
Would also depend on the inherent strength of the surrounding rock mass.
