The common consensus is that many don't understand how these electric cars still work! Solarcity shares went up because Tesla owns ~20%+ of it ahead of the announcement. Yes, Tesla will inevitably have solar panels <- this is where many stop to think about the works... That Energy needs to be harnessed .. somewhere.. SOMEWHERE in LITHIUM BATTERIES IN THE CAR. Tesla Motors to store electricity generated by their solar panel in lithium batteries.
Who own's 40% of lithium in the world ? I say Australia... How much Lithium do we have projected? let the people work it out then they will understand.... the TRUE VALUE of this company. I say kick back and relax. That Gigafactory will use most if not all lithiums in this world.
