your last sentence puts you in the old man screaming at the TV brigade

discussions should really only relate to what's happening -

people need to accept that no matter what the causes or reasons - the world is going electric ----------- end of story

discussions to be fruitful should only really entail - engineering

IMO - there's a good case for storage - home and small business storage - on a larger scale than we have and cheaper than we have by using large batteries - NOT Li ----------- batteries that have massively long life - but, are too heavy for transport - but, suit home storage

that way - we could have a very large storage on every residential site - enough to keep houses and cars going for days - and big enough to absorb most oversupply in roof panels - that, in combination for a while whilst private car ownership exists (which won't be all that much longer) - would give the society a good buffer -- a good buffer for normal weather related events - like cloudy, cold, etc..

it's glaringly obvious that when power goes down atm - that all stops - shops, servos, homes, offices

the last thing we need to be discussing is bloody fools telling us we can carry jerry cans of petrol in the boot (like, that's a good idea???) - or heading off on some TV screaming political rant about some fantastic debate about global warming or not

timewasting oxygen theft is no more than what that is
