To summarise:
*A tin price of $27K to $35K is required to incentivise new tin mines to come on line (current tin price is $41,700)
*Higher tin prices are expected first half of this year, with prices possibly coming off the boil in the later half (but well above the required price to make new mines viable)
IMO, I believe the tin shortfall is going to get worse than expected...
*Myanmar is the world's 3rd largest producer of tin concentrate.
*Most of the tin supply is from the Wa region of Myanmar, which is relatively isolated from the political situation in the rest of the country.
*However, there are many thousands of activists receiving weapons training and learning battle tactics on the outskirts of Myanmar, preparing to take back their country from the military. The political situation is about to get alot worse, for many years to come.
