It looks like COP and WPL have a secret deal, whereby COP get to benefit in some ways - either extra payment on DOC or when production starts (such as royalty payments).
This could be the motivating factor in Not revealing all the details of their Sale Purch Agreement.
Which would obviously mean WPL was prepared to pay more than the $2.20 as outlined in their press release.
COP would realize this - ie. if FAR exercises the PE, they would be buying it "REAL" Cheap and COP would be out of pocket (by that secret deal).
