May I fill you in on a few details.As one of 20 investors who funded the start up of CBio back in 2000 ie to purchase rights from the Uni of Qld for cpn 10 (Inv 103)and the setting up of Cbio,I believe I have a fair knowledge of our company.(I am not suggesting I know it all-far from it)
1) Rheumatoid Arthritis trials were not a complete failure,sure it did not meet its primary endpoint but valuable data was collected.This was the first time the subcutaneous route was employed-previously tests were done by intravenous infusion(the same way for the current Lupus trials)The results were spectacular.The problem with the phase 2 trials were that CBio did not carry out pre phase 2 trials to determine whether the dosage used in the intravenous trials was suitable for the subcutaneous trails.They proved not to be.Dosages used were from memory 10Mg to 75mg.(I stand to be corrected on these amounts)Allowable dosage for Cpn10 is 300 mg.Hence most of vaccine was not getting through to the blood stream and lost in body tissue.
I believe Arthritis is to be trialed again.
2) Cbio was approached by as many as 18 other biotechs from around the world wishing to partner CBio after phase 2 trials,our ceo prior to being our ceo did the due diligence for CBio and chose Inversion.I might add an excellent choice
3)CPN 10 is the endogenous regulator of the innate immune system and 80 autoimmune diseases have been identified as possible cpn10 targets.(it took Scientists Dr Halle Moreton and Dr Alice Cavanagh 30 years to discover cpn10 where major drug companies spent hundreds of millions to find out what caused EPF(Early preganancy factor)and failed-we did it.
4)Cpn 10 prevented lupus in mice.Mice trials mirrored the original Arthritis trials.
4)Inv 102 Nadalol is the only drug to heal the lungs and possibly the only drug that may treat cystic fibrosis.
5)Both our multiple application drugs have proven efficacy and safety.
When the board say they are very excited they mean it.
My own thoughts are we have seen our last cr and look forward very soon to some fantastic news.
