I'm pretty sure the claim was FAR against COP's Senegal subsidiary. The dispute is still with this subsidiary. WPL closed the deal to purchase this subsidiary knowing full well that PE issue was still in dispute. They've been party to the dispute from the beginning of the case. WPL may have their butts covered legally, but I'm not sure I'd bet the best part of USD$1Billion on it?
