I always thought the railway line would have some use, you have confirmed it. Yes while the tracks are useless, the fact the rail line is there (does not have to go through villages, or indeed mountains) is a real plus. Its 5mill per kilometre for fresh fields track, but will be cheaper if you just have to lay new track down, and a port is not too much if you are loading 90k tonne ships...who said there was no infrastructure. If the Canadians don't fund it the Chinese will, one thing is for sure the Australian instos won't and be left holding what could have been, bit like some of the sceptics here. Sometime you need to take a risk, called venture capital and it does not seem to have developed here.
