I've seen share consolidations that do work. Most recently take a look at what happend with AVO/AVG being a mid tier gold producer.

There is also a number of investment mandates which can't invest in stocks with a price under $1 or 10c ect. I know this doesn't make sense it should state their market cap.

I've seen charties, trusts, family offices, hedge funds and the like which have investment mandates which shy away from 7c stocks.

Margin lender's risk analysts probably shy away from giving any LVR due to the low stock price also.
