So you don't think the SD nominee directors would be a "tempering" influence on the current board and demand "performance" in return for their investment ??
I note another Chinese SOE enterprise managed to loose a fair bit of dough recently and considering that there is a current change in leadership in China would imagine that the powers to be would insist on return on their investment (let's leave to conspiracy theories of "smuggling the gold out" aside for a while).
Just thinking out loud - that's all.
If I had the cash (and would be willing to try and tame the swiss cheese aka FML) I'd be making sure I get my 15% return ( on my 51% holding) on that size investment !
And the only way to do that is to produce more high grade gold at lower costs and take current holders along for the ride (possibly spin out Nepean-dig TI - rationalise CRE and sell off the bits we really don't need).
