And since SSC has entered into a feasibility study with MHM that's expected to take up to 6 months it may be reasonable that they don't wish to show their hand too early. After all,as far as SSC are concerned, there is no rock solid guarantee that the the ALNAK process will suit them.

Best not to make promises that you may not be able to keep. There fall back position then becomes landfill.
