All listed companies need a decent investor relations department, but that does not mean shareholders need to be spoonfed a constant stream of updates.
Understand the company and its management, understand its products and strategy, and if you are comfortable with that sit back and relax. Don't worry if there are periods of no news. As the saying goes, sometimes 'no news is good news'.
