Shows like BB are "manufactured" to the viewing audience, and ! agree with you 100% that they are trash and will never be seen in my household. Dancing, cooking, wedding - they all are a waste of time...
The show is about helping those with aflictions they have lived with for years... It has been on (and I have watched) for at least 5 years now and is designed to explain that you should not suffer in silence, but rather get talking to your GP and get it fixed.
Think of it more like a community announcement.
