TheColonel, Tony Burke's claims may well prove to have been 'within the rules' but therein lies the problem!

Pollies established those rules and pollies get to decided what they claim for, without public scrutiny until yonks later.

Pollies rejected nearly all of the rule change recommendations of the 2010 Belcher Review that would have tightened the exploitation of taxpayers' money and to this day they bleat on about their entitlements while labelling people doing it tough as "leaners", "loafers" and "bludgers" and telling mainstream Australians THEIR Age of Entitlement is over.

Well put Bishop, Abbott and Burke aside for a moment and have a look at what Joe Hockey claimed - was does a Treasurer have to be overseas so much and inflict such massive expenses on the public - were Cuban cigars included in that lot I wonder?

The answer is simple and as we were reminded by Alan Fels was included in the 2010 Belcher Review; full public disclosure of ALL claims on each MPs website.
