I have yet to see Big phama to cotton on that you don't need $1B or 20 years before you see that first $ of ROI. You can launch that drug today and get an ROI today! Usually, you need something like 'emergency use' like covid got to be able to sell something early.
Being able to launch your product and gain continuous feedback will mean that you can continually improve (and reduce your risks) and grow at a much faster rate than competitors.
Hard to point to better cannabis drug development model or companies than the ones you have touched on. BOT/IHL/ZLD/EMD Australia is very much 5+ years ahead. (bar GW who started the long road 20 years ago and have seen that value return - after a few fail attempts via the traditional development pathway). Putting together a continuous improvement framework together for rapid feedback your competitors won't be able to catch up. - in this regard, I say move over and watch out GW I can see all of these companies being 10x GW..
