I did some work for Statoil in Norway late last year and was amazed at how they operate. Without a doubt the most professional of the offshore oil and gas Co's.

Do it safe and right first time, money no object. All their gear is cutting edge and usually new. You don't see any beat up pieces of kit like you do with some other Co's ive been involved with.

The Norwegians are a great bunch also, upfront and very easy to get along with.

Statoil is the industry gold standard for offshore O & G and for the life of me I can't see how we are all fawning over PBR because of an ASIC reservation.

Statoil have a recent ASIC Registration. Statoil are Independant. Statoil are looking specifically at the Carnarvon and Bonaparte basins. Statoil are methanol experts. Also several of MEO announcments re Artemis have been reported next day by the Norwegian offshore magazine. Curiouser and curiouser.
