Price cap will be 12$/gj wholesale for East coast producers Carl has never made extravagant claims about the gas price mentioning gas as not likely dropping below 10$/gj which will be very profitable if the Judith field is proven up,question is can they the government maintain the cap ? I don't think so under the global gas crisis and would anticipate a high probability of the cap being raised near future.
Price cap I agree will effect explorers especially with marginal resources I have plays at 60% ownership mc at 20mill ,600bill barrel p50s requiring a exploration drill so needing more partners as being not meeting my criteria though some disagree. As always I hedge investments if they don't use as much gas they will have to burn something else if not Australia overseas for sure but gas will continue to be sold for a very high price to overseas buyers
