Yes I agree averaging down is a dangerous game. but it was always my intention. I did have a sum of money to invest in 4 equal lots, I have used 3 of these lots and got my average down to 4.1c. Speccies total 10% of my portfolio and I always buy them in 3 or 4 lots so I always have ammo up my sleeve when they get manipulated down (as they generally do). These stocks are often manipulated down using "the spooks method", IMHO, so I try to take advantage of the fear. At the end of the day, they are "probably" not going to let all that guaranteed gold walk out the door are they. These dudes may by sly, and half stupid but they are smart enough to smell easy money IMHO

Anyway, I am generally protected by my major holdings in solid stocks. Speccies are a gamble but a few pay off. I increased my SMSF significantly when I reinvested profits from one of my species moved up over 600% in a few months. This speccy is my worst but still down only about 34%

I suppose my reason for starting this thread is to let IDC management and EMPIRE know (if they read the thread), that the investors cant get very nasty if we find them clowning around. There are investors out there that have no problem raising issues with the Authorities or media if they feel there are issues worthy of investigation. We can see evidence of this from the SMH article.

All we ask of IDC and EMPIRE is NO FUNNY BUSINESS - YOU WILL GET CAUGHT - PEOPLE ARE WATCHING. Do the right thing, get the share price under control, use our money wisely and we will shut our mouths. Based on the hammer and support around 2.5 - 2.7c there does appear to be some SLY accumulation going on under the radar IMHO and the technicals do indicate it has bottomed out. But hey its a speccy, anything could happen.
