Well unless she's applying for fantasy jobs, those jobs DO exist and SOMEONE got the job... So....
maybe she's just not a very good candidate?
maybe there are other applicants who are much more qualified?
Did it occur to you that instead of blaming the government for your stepdaughters inability to get a job you take some of that good old liberal advice (you know - pick yourself up by your bootstraps) and encourage your daughter to be more competitive than all the other applicants?
Reminds me of an excellent daily show segment,
"When I succeed, it's all due to my own hard work and brilliance! ... When I fail, the GOVERNMENT ruined it for me!"
