That is my concern here as well.
I was in COSTCO visiting family in Australia last week and noticed A2 baby formula (not A2 Milk) at AUD17 a tin. It appears that A2 cows are quite common and a prospective company just needs to develop a brand, fill a tin, and then sell. The science certainly supports A2 consumption and I feel personally as a father, it is a superior choice….. but has the first mover advantage and brand strength for A2 Milk now been eroded where it is a fight for market share vs premium-product margin protection. There is certainly a position in these markets for the A2 Milk brand, but is this a growth stock? What maturity level is the brand now? A2 Milk is certainly worth a price and this is a strong brand. My concern is how they will pivot, continue to grow (horizontally) utilising their cash build, and maintain existing margins in the future. I am waiting on the sidelines for now deciding to re-enter. Uncertain for now
