Most fmcg is subject to at least 50% shelf life remaining, else discount... IF has 2 years... once you run to only 1 the pigs becomes the only option to avoid firesales... assuming they are willing to send stock back when they would be aware that plenty of surplus stock is floating about with potentially the only economic path forward is savage discounting. Would you want to be selling full price IF when Ur competitors have firesales?
if they don't know the levels of stock in the channel how can they buy it back?
