I have operated two of the major bars and a club in Port Douglas. I still know a large majority of management, staff and security.
It is my understanding that they will comply. The poor bastards have almost (many have) gone broke and don't want the risk they have been threatened with. Will it last. Who knows. I doubt it will and hope it won't.
I will decide next week whether to bother making the journey to deal with the bullshit or spend the time on my boat instead. My boat has very few rules and only one mandate. FUN
