This "interactions" with politicians is an innovative experiment by hotcopper, but the answers so far from the government minister are no different from answers we already heard outside of hotcopper, in the press, and in parliament. There is nothing new that we already do not know.
I expect the same approach from Chris Bowen.
If you want us to ask questions about Abbott. may be hotcopper can invite him to appear here, I am sure there will be a lot more questions from what you have called the "ALP cheersquad".
What will be really good is if the minister answers follow-up questions. We will then have almost live interactions.
Also, to make it easier for people to follow the questions and answers, there should be a separate forum set up just for the occasion, e.g. "Senator Cormann", "Chirs Bowen", instead of them getting all mixed up with the other political posts.
