Everything needs to be looked at in context. If you follow Minervini's ideas then you have a stage 1 base which broke out in late December last year. We've now set the first base in the stage 2 trend. The context is this all happened during a mini gold bear market. If gold does change trend here and go trend up again(as I think it will) then you have a true leader in EMR trending in a gold bull market. While there will be bases made along the way, I'd expect the trends to get longer in duration between bases from here. Bases also tend to get shorter in duration as the trend evolves
