ems & portex sign preliminary deal

Hi All,

I have heard from my source tonight that Portex has signed a preliminary agreement to purchase EMS products from December 2003 onwards.

This agreement was signed on the proviso that EMS soley produces syringes for the American market only and that no other Australian company will able to sell syringes to Portex for the next 12 months and possibly further.

In my opinion I think that this deal signals the begining of what EMS management has been trying to achieve - to break into international markets and to capture market share in the lucrative US and international markets.
