I read that too and thought about EMV. Hopefully someone here can add to my thought on it (considering I have only briefly looked at the EMV tech). As I see it, in a real life scenario, ambo pulls up and if a stroke is a possibility, scan the patient's face with the phone app. If the app confirms there is a good possibility of a stroke, patient moves to the next level of diagnosis, which would be the EMV tech, as it can give a much more detailed analysis and diagnostic determination on the type and where the stroke is occurring. Hopefully someone can bring a more accurate view than mine though.
