The FDA has not shut down. EMV have continued with preparations for the pivotal trial after their meeting with them late last year. Evidence from the last Trump administration suggests an FDA that is more receptive to medical innovation and novel technology.
The links with UQ are less relevant these days. If you’ve been to an AGM you would know that EMV have a large and very talented commercial product development team which is quite different to the R&D / Academia world.
