Disco - I don't disagree with your observation that the FDA may be more receptive to medical innovation under Trump 2 but that is yet to be confirmed.
But I disagree with the rest of your post.
I didn't say FDA was shut down. I said it was shut down temporarily as a result of an executive order. No doubt work is still going on 'behind the scenes' but, as reported, by the Washington Post and other sources, until the order is removed there can be no communications - including 'guidance' - with outside parties.
While I understand that EMV has built up its technical team, the connection with UQ is still pivotal. Partly because the 2 leaders of EMV's technical group (Chief Scientist, Professor Crozier and Chief Technical Officer, Konstanty Bialowski) are, respectively, also the Emeritus Professor and Associate Professor in the UQ's Electrical Engineering School.
And, perhaps more importantly, because EMV's IP acquisition from UQ gives them on-going ownership to all further enhancements and extensions to the platform technology - including the torso scanner and non-intrusive blood test projects that are currently being ramped up at UQ
