Interesting, all these smart people and brave men here. The first one quotes an article by leaving out the vital part that the plant WILL BE CANCELED IF..
The second one can not stand a critic opinion, so it should be deleted.
Can't you guys bear an opinion?
THE TOXIC WASTE IS FAR MORE THAN THORIUM!
- 230,000 tonnes of solid waste containing several toxic substances would be produced. Australia has refused to take them back BTW
- 500 tonnes of waste water discharged into a natural river which flows into the sea EVERY HOUR!
- 90,000 cubic meter of gaseous participles are blown into the atmosphere EVERY HOUR
AND THE WORST THING
The refinery is within 2 km of densely populated coastal fishing villages and tourism hot spots with Kuantan and 600.000 people around the corner.
LYC investors try to reduce the problem to radiation and ignore the rest.
This might just be a very expensive mistake IMVHO.
