It didn't work because there is not a single real world example in there, just conspiracy theories at this point. Royal commissions are incredibly expensive, the government is not going to waste funds on every single little fear or theory people have. If you want this to work it needs to be re written with a focus on facts otherwise of course it'll always fall on deaf ears, just like the govt won't spend a minute listening to the nutters saying that 5G towers are killing people.

I'm all for supporting something like this but it needs to be done properly. You need a public figure or organisation to start the petition (not some nobody with zero public profile) and you need a legal/political expert to write it properly.
