    First Pj,

who said that lenstec isn't going to get taken over (deals like this take a hell of a long time to nut out) and if and when it does its only going to be for one reason. Tectraflex lens is considered the best lens on the market with an impecable safety record however it is being marketed by a tiny group therefore not even close to market potential. If one of the bigger groups buy the rights out then you will find its sales explode espectially on the back of FDA approval.
This bigger group will not be happy with having to pay double digit royalties to AOS and as a result there assets will be brought for the right price. If not, AOS will still have a considerable income stream for doing nothing.

    secondly
AOS also has the royalties from Alcon in relation to triesence which has only been introduced to the market recently. This is a $400mil per ann industry with Alcon holding over 50% of market share. It will take time to be faised in throught the surgeries of the world however these should be considerable in the future.

I sure the AOS board would have extended the occular deadline if something else wasn't in the wind.
