Have a look at the volume of some other goldies, especially NST, EVN, BDR, MML and SBM. SLR was also up most of the day and then ended in the red due to EOD trading.
Somebody has mentioned that it was due to some sort of options expiry thing. I do not know how that works but it seems to increase the volume traded at the end of day. The end result can be positive for some goldies (eg BDR) and negative for others (RSG).
