Yes. What the Israeli's have done the past few weeks is strategically important. They have given Hamas unwanted responsibility next time they want to attack Israel.
The world will know that if Hamas decides to attack again then the world, if not the Israeli's, will remove them from government.
Hamas will know that if they attack Israel again then they will be responsible for all Palestinian civilian deaths. But if they dont attack Israel then they are nothing, since their 1st agenda is to remove Israel, and 2nd agenda is to govern Gaza.
