With three projects worth a combined value of almost $9 billion set to kick off in Traralgon over the next eighteen months, the Victorian mining sector is set for a significant boost in activity.

In July, work on the $6 billion Loy Lang Coldry Plant Project is expected to begin, as is work on the Syngas Plant ? part of the Monash Energy Coal Gasification & Liquids Project ($650 million). A GTL plant ($2 billion), also part of the Monash project, is scheduled for commencement in 2012.
