I think you've been too optimistic. If they were to let that happen it would on be if they lost any rights to the permit at all. That would make it nice and cheap for Shell.
I love to spend a day at their offices. Surely the whole lot of them aren't just working on the SEDCO court case, putting the long-lead items on ebay and turning up to Shell HQ to say yes and sign a few forms.
I love giving it to those guys. I have let my feeling known to them directly. Didn't even give me the courtesy of response. Probably because there is nothing they can say that defends their performance.
Sorry to hear others that have ridden this dream for the last 5 years. Thought most others had long gone.
