The army tolerated Mugabe himself BUT there is no way they would tolerate Grace Mugabe succeeding him as President.
Grace was behind recent purges and it is Grace that the Army is seeking to stop IMHO.
I haven't been to Zimbabwe since 1991. Mugabe went nuts and the whole country fell to bits after his first wife died.
