lol it's hard to believe people invest their hard earned money on the stockmarket without first finding out how the stockmarket works.

Anyone can take part in the auction that occurs at 4.10pm (roughly). Just place an order after 4.00pm at either the highest price you are willing to pay or the lowest price you are willing to sell. Such orders are crossed at 4.10pm at a price that is pretty much a weighted average of the orders.

It's the exact same type of auction that occurs in the morning to determine the opening price, just that it's to determine the closing price.
