Premium off a very low base. Maybe in the case of the second one they were tipped off about the announcement and hedged their price according to where they thought it may end up. 1.7 pre announcement, 3.3 placement and 3.5 now. Bad timing all round.
Also accumulating 47 million shares on market may have cost them more than the 3.3 that they got them for.
