Yes because they can't afford to buy it, it's hard enough managing cash flow in getting a business up and running. If you get to the point you are making enough profit buying property is considered.

There are many areas where cost of mortgage repayments are less than renting, they once you have a bit of equity making payment equivalent to rent will have the principle on the loan go way down.
Yeah I know people who have housing provided with their work, they rent their PPOR out to pay down their debts quicker and increase the equity. You could have done that Scotty
