when you have been oppressed by russia for a couple of centuries and Ukrainian language actively discouraged .....the majority are ethnic russian speakers .....even Zelensky
but ALL those oblasts were ethnic Ukrainian prior to russias insurgency and then invasion
only 4 countries of the world recognoise the validity of the annexation ---- putin needs to get out of Ukraine and leave it alone !
