"Endolith, a prominent subsidiary of Cemvita, is proud to announce its recent success in securing a $1.1 million grant from the Department of Energy (DOE) to harness microbes for sustainable mining. This funding will be directed towards the optimization and expansion of sustainable lithium extraction with an eye towards field deployment alongside industry partner Arizona Lithium, and supporting companies, Lithium Americas and Ioneer."



Sulfuric acid is the major cost component for capex and opex of sedimentary projects. If you can reduce sulfuric acid consumption you don't have to build as large a plant.

There's 100 tonnes of Big Sandy ore ready to run through the feed which contains 180kg of lithium. The Big Sandy pilot plant is already built into the LRC. Almost a year ago Brett talked about the potential of bringing down the capex, and the opex from sub 10k down closer to 5k using this technology.
