I would say that the Genlec is the first in a number of products that are about to come on stream in the UK under a residential use contract. The Bluegen will be another.

So take heart in the Genlec offer, because it really just paves the way for Bluegens. One thing I noticed after 4 years of living in the UK is that when one of these sort of deals springs up, suddenly the market floods with them. And usually the first one to market isn't the best. I use the example where mobile phone contracts started coming with free unmetered home ADSL broadband. First it was one company, then everyone was offering it.

I still think CFU has some tough work ahead of it, and I am very wary of another cap raising.
