What about Australia's great investment in clean coal.
Australia has invested $590 million since 2009 in clean-coal technology research and demonstration, and yet we do not have one modern high-efficiency, low emissions coal-fired power station. There are no plans to build one, no private operator wants to build one and unless the taxpayers pay for one, one will not be built. Why - because they are not financially viable as there are far cheaper alternatives.
