    In Europe fossil fuels were forced out of the market to the benefit of "renewables".

    "Renewables", as predicted by many on here are unreliable and intermittent. Now being clearly shown in Europe.

    Europe now finds that it is in desperate need of a fuel it forced out of the market to provide reliable electricity.

    Therefore prices rises. That's the market at work.

    Fossil fuel prices will remain high for some considerable time. At least until new coal fired generators can be built in Europe.

    Karma is a bitch.
