There is no global shortage of gas production. This is not just a Europe story, it is a global story.

The failure of globalisation, and the weakness of depending on global supply chains is playing out in everything, including energy markets. Exacerbated by China's idiotic interventions into energy markets. This all shows that it is far better to generate energy locally, rather than rely on imports. Europe will only move further away from gas. And Australia will move further towards electrification of transport (and hydrogen), reducing our reliance on imported fuel and the whims of global oil prices.
